Xanatos nearly bowed in response, but caught himself just in time. Old habits die hard he supposed. Nodding instead, he watched the Grazon leave the room. This was somebody he didn't wish to have for an enemy. Xanatos left the room to continue his walk through the palace. His roundabout route would eventually lead him to the throne room. They slayers were supposed to be contacting him soon, but he hadn't heard why or when.

The Grazon summoned his servants from where they were waiting. They got up from their chairs instantly, and ran to catch up with him. "Where are we going massster?" The Grazon pointed out a window towards the lower section of the city. "Have to stop a man." He put his hand to the hilt on his sword, and exited the temple. As if on cue, people said hello, and were cheering, throwing gifts, and an assorment of other greetings. He waved respectfully, and got in his personnael carriage. His servants followed, seating themselves on the opposite side of him. The fifth told the driver where to go then entered. "We will be there ssssoon massster." He nodded, and crossed his arms. Hopefully this wouldn't turn into to something bloody.

Xanatos walked through the halls, this time with purpose. One of his messengers had just informed him of very important guests that were waiting for him in the throne room. The guests' description didn't match any nobles that he knew about, so they were probably dragon slayers. He reached the massive doors that opened into the throne room, and calming his nerves, pushed through. His suspicions were confirmed when the two guests turned towards him, both wearing slayer uniforms.

The carriage jerked to a stop. The Grazon stood, and one of his servants opened the door. He heard a man yelling. He motioned for his yaurion to listen. He waited a while, then the yaurion turned towards him. "It's the man." He moved swiftly towards the yelling. All the while his yaurion didn't even have to try to catch up. He entered the building where the yelling came from. It was an old abandoned church, one of the old ones. The building was full of this man's supporters. Once he entered everything became silent. He pushed his way to the front, people falling, and trying to resiest his massive strength, but each one failing. Men tried to stop his yaurion, but they were as strong as him, maybe even more so. He stepped up to the stand where the liar was. He stared at him, his large helmet on. He liked the helmet. Made him feel more powerful. "So, you've gained a lot of attention lately." His voice boomed throughout the building, and the yaruion circled around the scrawny man. "I spread only the truth! Your're church only corrupts! You seek to enslave us all!!!" The Grazon motioned for the yaurion to start getting the people out of the old church. "Alright, show is over everyone. Return home!" He strode over to the man, and laid a hand on his small shoulder. His hand completly covered the man's shoulder, which almost made him laugh. Once everyone left, he spoke. "I'll give you a chance to shut up, and you will live. If not, you will be forced to be silent." The man's eyes wavered for a second, then snapped back. "I WILL NEVER BE SILENT!" He attempted to punch him, and the blow bounced off his armor, and bruised his hand. The grazon grasped the man's throat. "Are you sure?" He nodded. The Grazon squeezed, and the man's eyes bulged. His body wriggled for a few seconds, then went limp. Unfortunately, this meant his yaurion servants would have to eat the body. He pointed, and they removed their hoods, showing their inhuman faces. They dashed to the dead man, and sank their teeth into the dying flesh. The Grazon averted his eyes, and started to think about what to tell the public. Perhaps he had to leave once he agreed to be silent? Yes, that would do. The sound of ripping flesh stopped, and he looked back. Nothing remained. Only a few drops of blood. A yaurion grabbed a cloth, wiped it up. "Ready to return masster?" He nodded, and they ran towards the door. One opened it, while the others opened the carriage door, and rushed inside. He entered the carriage. Well, at least it wasn't bloody, he thought as the carriage started to move towards his courters.

Xanatos stepped foward and stopped himself just before he bowed. Although the two slayers outranked him, he was still king, and therefore he was above them. "Welcome, so what brings you to my castle?"

The two slayers bowed as Xanatos entered. "We have possible information on the dragon prince, my liege. We have a team ready to intercept and capture him, but we assumed that you would wish to be part of that team considering the history between the two of you. We have five slayers standing by waiting for your decision sir."

Xanatos felt his pulse quicken. "Are you sure your information is correct? I don't want to leave and have to explain myself to these uptight nobles if the dragon isn't actually where you say he is."

One of the slayers stepped foward. "Our information is very recent and from a trusted and reliable source. There is no need to question the accuracy of his whereabouts."

Xanatos could barely repress his eagerness. "I will accompany them to take down the prince. This has taken far longer than we had anticipated. The drak?n have heard rumours of Maelstrom's son surviving, but few actually believe it. The sooner we take him out the better. Where is he?"

The lead slayer smiled. "Our source said that he was heading for Yaglon. In the crowd he must be buying supplies that he must be ordinarily unavailable to him. We expect him to stay in the city for an ample amount of time, time which we can use to send down you and your team. He is unaware that we know where he is, and will be off guard. I think we actually have him this time."

Xanatos nodded. "When do we move out? I can send my advisors to take care of my appointments, but I need to tell them when I intend to leave."

The slayer bowed. "We intend to leave within two to three hours, so that should give you ample time to prepare for your absence."

Xanatos nodded thoughtfully. "I will be ready to leave then. I shall go make arrangements for travel and arrangements for when I'm gone." Xanatos spun around and stalked out of the room, the quickness of his steps betraying his otherwise calm demenour. To think that after all this time, he would finally be rid of Makaidos.

The Grazon stepped out of his transport, soon followed by his minions. He stepped inside the castle, and walked upstairs. One of the yaurion sped forward, and opened the door for him. He walked through, and went toward his office He took off his sword, and placed it on the wall. The Yaurion took their places outside the door, and inside the room. "If ANYONE tries to get in, detain them, and tell me who they are." One of the servants nodded. "Yesss masster." He sat down in his chair, and sighed, leaning back.

Xanatos wove through the maze of twisting halls that had initially confused him when he had first arrived. Pausing in front of a door, he knocked then entered without waiting for an answer. Locating his senior advisor within the first glance of the room he quickly walked over. "I am leaving on personal buisness in about two hours. I trust you can handle the appointments for today? I will also need you to ready my horse. I will not be able to tell you when I will get back, but you can handle all that needs to be done. When his advisor nodded in understanding, he spun around and left the room. He had heard that Grazon had returned, so he decided to speak with him before he left. He quickly made his way to the Grazon's quarters and stopped at the door. Regaining his composure, he knocked on the door.

Xanatos nodded. "I'm going to leave the castle for a time. If you can perhaps convince people that I'm still here, that would be rather helpful. There are a number of spies who would love to learn of my absence, any number of whom would make life miserable for us humans. Would you mind doing this?"

His anger rose inside. Last thing he needed was to cover up for two people. He kept a calm demeanor, and nodded. "I'll try my best. Where, however are you going?"

"Of course, It's no problem. So, I just need to say something like, you are sick or some story like that?" He took a sip of wine from a goblet that his servant poured for him.

Xanatos nodded. "Yes, just make up whichever story you wish, one that will not have people asking akward questions. I'll only be gone for a few days at the most, so you won't have to keep up the charade for long. You may speak with my advisors in order to create a believable story for my absence. And if you'll kindly excuse me, I must be going as time is of the essence for my...buisness endevour."

"Good luck on whatever it is you are to be doing." He smiled slighlty as he said that. He turned towards his servants. He rembered how he gained them to be his. It was an incredibly grueling and diffucult task. But it was worth it. He smiled. "Sssssomething intresting ssssire?" He glanced up. "What? Oh, its nothing." He turned towards Xanatos, "Just make sure im the first to know once you return my king."

Xanatos nodded. "Thank you for your assistance Grazon. I will be sure that you are the first to know of my return." Xanatos turned and left the room, nearly running into one of his messengers. The messenger bowed in apology and started his message. "Sire! Your horse is prepared, and your belongings packed and ready for travel. Your companions are also waiting for you by the stables." Xanatos nodded, an amused smile on his face. The messenger couldn't have been any older than 12. "Thank you lad, you did a fine job. Now head down to the kitchens and tell the cook to get you something nice." The messenger's face immediately lit up and he started running off toward the kitchen. Xanatos shook his head in amusement as he left the halls and entered the stables. True to his word, his magnificent white horse was prepared for the journey, and his slayer subordinates were patiently mounted and ready for departure. Xanatos walked around, checking the saddle and equipment to ensure it was secured, then satisfied with the arrangement, mounted his horse and motioned for the group to begin. As one, they galloped out one of Dolv's inconspicuous side gates and made off for Yaglon. (Xanatos journeys to Yaglon.)
