Name: Haiiro Navi
Age: twenty
Gender: male
Race: half-breed [Though predominantly human, Hai's got about 1/32 of elf-blood in him that he pretty well refuses to acknowledge when asked but will manipulate when useful]
Rings: N/A
Occupation: Pretty much a wandering traveler with a lack of destination or goal, Haii somehow manages to take care of himself by living independently.
Weapons: A rather large but collapsible scythe appears to be Hai's first and foremost weapon in any instant. It's a rather heavy weapon, and though it doesn't move as fast as other weapons, it can cause heavy damage if it makes contact with whatever he's swinging at. Haii does carry a few other knives on his person, but he doesn't use them near as much.
Personality: The term rugged individualist generally classifies Haiiro well enough. He takes pride in being able to accomplish things on his own and actually sees it as a weakness to depend on others. He doesn't want to be an apprentice or be anyone's follower in the least nor does he want to have anyone follow him or be anyone's master, and thus, he charts his own course with a freedom spirit and a will that's beyond that of a mule.
Though he isn't opposed to making friends, Haiiro isn't the easiest one to get along with. He tends to see the bulk of people as weak and considers them rather worthless by default. Those that depend on others even for the smallest things tend to be treated not truly badly but with more of a snark attitude than not. Those that can prove him wrong in some sort of fashion or another generally earn his appeal even if he doesn't end up liking someone in the end.
Because of his pride, Haiiro rarely if ever asks for help from anyone. He wants to be able to do things on his own, and even in the most pressing of situations, it is common for him to fight his way out first before resorting to the help of others. That being said, he doesn't like being put in positions of being helpless. If he feels cornered or trapped, he's prone to growing vicious rather than panicky, and he's actually prone to taking out his stress and strain on those that are closer to him than not.
Special abilities: Because of his mixed (if thinned) bloodline, Haiiro has a bit of control over fire, water, and nature.
That being said, he's much more comfortable with fire magic (especially since it seems to formulate itself well enough with his aggressive notions) and can shoot off a few fire balls. With that being said, those 'few fireballs' actually take a lot out of Haiiro after he's preformed them. His body isn't generally stable enough to hold such magic for long periods, and if he uses it too much at one time, he can exhaust himself completely and either faint or, in an extreme case, die.
As was said, because of his thinned elf-blood, Haiiro also has a tentative control over water and doesn't seem to even realize he has control over nature. Water magic puts quite a hard pressed strain on Haii, far more than fire, and he generally doesn't use it that much. Along the lines of the earth magic, Haii knows that he should theoretically be able to wield it but, considering he lacks a proper teacher, he has never figured out exactly how to tap into it.
Fighting style: By nature, Haiiro is a mid-range fighter. He generally uses his scythe to keep most enemies at least at arm's length away from him while constantly invading their range by shifting the range of his scythe. When someone has managed to break past his scythe in one form or another, Haii appears to be a moderate close-rage fighter and seems to be able to defend himself well enough though not nearly as well as in mid-stance. When forced into a long-range fight, Haiiro can shoot off a bit of magic, but this is mostly on a last resort note.
Other: Blood type: O+
History: Born and raised in a human home, Haii's childhood was rather quiet. His mother, a gentle woman, did her best to raise and rear Haiiro and his older brother Ryo. The boy's father and their mother's husband was a calm stable mason who worked in the town. For a few short years, the family was oddly serene. However, when Haiiro was three, everything in the world seemed to come crashing down before the young boy. His father would be killed in a building accident, and almost seven months later, his mother would die having her third child whom would be given the name Saiyo. Thankfully for everyone involved, Eryana, the children's grandmother on their mother's sside, would quickly take up her three grandchildren and do her best to raise them herself. However, Haiiro didn't speak for a long time after that.
Whatever happened in the 'outside world', Eryana did her best to shield her grandchildren from it all and tried her hardest to make them happy. However, by nature, Haii was far from happy. The young boy spent most of his days slinking around and sneaking out of the house to get away from everyone. Ryo did mostly the same. This left poor Saiyo alone for the most part which would cause the young girl to constantly cry and call back for her older siblings... which would get Haiiro and Ryo in trouble in turn.
It was around the age of nine that Haii would learn that Ryo had stumbled upon magic.... though in a rather traumatic way. Accidentally bring down a house, Ryo blamed Haiiro and Haiiro blamed Ryo. Saiyo just resorted to crying considerably getting frustrated at both of them. However, after that Eryana would finally give in and started to teach the boys how to wield their young and distorted powers. She also let them in on the family secret: that somewhere in earlier generations, they were related to elves and would probably have much longer lifespans than most of their small town. This actually irritated and distressed Haiiro, as the young boy grew angry that his parents had died. If they were supposed to have lived for a long time, why did they have to die so early? It would only foul Haiirio's mood as he aged.
For reasons that were, at the time, unknown to Haiiro, Ryo suddenly took up his things and left one day when the elder brother was twelve and the younger had just turned eleven. Haiiro did everything to bring his brother back home, and yet in the end he failed. Angry, Haiiro took it out on everyone around him, becoming far more spiteful to his grandmother and sister than he had ever been. In order to try and quell the boy, Eryana forced Haiiro into an apprentice-ship with the town's smith who took him under as a sort of repayment to Eryana for years past.
To say the least of it, Haii began to love and hate smithery. It was fun to make weapons, but the patients and such that was required was straining and taxing. It was here that Haiiro would be introduced to a bit of swordsmanship. A short time after this, Eryana again found that whenever he was home, Haiiro was just growing more and more rebellious. Thus, she set him up to work for not only the blacksmith but also a local farmer to which he would spend hours out of the day cutting fodder and the like. It was here that Haiiro would grow more comfortable with using a sickle that would inevitably drive him towards using a scythe later on.
In his late teens, Haiiro would get some rather horrible news. It seemed that under mysterious circumstances, Ryo had died, and all the person whom had told of what happened brought back was some obscure letter that Ryo had apparently written assuring the family that if they were receiving this, he was dead. Haiiro was livid. He blamed everyone and everything around him, and his anger nearly set fire to the entire town had not his grandmother forced him to calm down. Tearing away, Haiiro packed up his things and started walking. He wasn't going to stay there. He was going to find what had happened to Ryo. Saiyo begged him not to leave, yet Haiiro ignored and left.
He's been traveling for around four years now and has yet to find any leads as to what had happened to his brother.
Eye color: A dark shade of blue
Hair color-style: Short dark black hair never makes it beyond Haii's neck. It tends to lay down well enough and gives him even bangs.
Clothing: Haii's predominant wear is tight black clothing along with a traveling cloak. The clock itself goes just above the ground but splits sideways in the back like a horse riding jacket. He wears black gloves and general black boots.
Appearance: Here Haiiro is somewhat tall for a man, standing 6'1'' though his form is rather lean overall. His fair skin, possibly a remnant of his eleven blood, though almost ghostly, rarely tans nor does it burn. His dark blue eyes seem to somewhat clash with his skin but fit well enough with his dark raven colored hair that rarely goes beyond the back of his neck. His features and somewhat rounded but more angular as one works down his face, and if one happens to catch the very tip of his ear, which is often hidden by hair anyways, it's ever so slightly pointed. He wears no earrings and has no tattoos to speak of, but it gives an overall sameness to his skin.
