Ace jumped when he heard the voice. He stood from his chair, and walked toward the entrance. "Depends on who's asking." His hand went to his jagged sword on his waist, waiting for a sign of friend or foe.

Makaidos glanced down at Ace's hand and shrugged. "Is this how you greet all potential customers? I would think you would lose buisness rather quickly." He studied Ace with hood covered eyes. Strange, Yereq had said Ace was an elf, and he indeed dressed like one, but to his eyes it was clear he was merely half-elf. But there was something else too, something he couldn't quite put his finger on.

After a while passed, a guard came to the cell. "Stand back crazy, I've got a four star meal for you, but you're going to have to be nice." He grinned to himself as he eyed the soupy mess in the tray that he held.

"I don't open for another hour, so yes." He looked Makaidos over. "You could look up you know. Almost makes me want to slice right now. See, I like to see people's eyes. Shows a lot about a person." He removed his hand from the jagged sword, and outstretched his hand. "I'm Ace, half-elf and magician."

Craze rolled his eyes. "As if prison food could ever be even two star." He stood up, and grabbed the hot meal. Then smiled, he threw the scalding hot soup into the guard's face, and laughed insanley. "That's why they a slot to shove food through! HAHAHA!" The guard screamed in pain as the hot liquid burned his face, Craze laughing the whole while.

Makaidos took the offered hand and gave it a firm shake with a gloved hand. "Makaidos. Mercenary." He released Ace's hand and let his arm fall back to his side. "I have a rare skin condition that makes me unable to walk about in the day comfortably. And it looks rather...bad. I save everyone the trouble and wear this cloak instead, it just has the misfortune of covering my eyes as well. Not that you really need to see them if I'm offering to do business with you. I know that you don't open for a while, but in my opinion this is the best time to do buisness while you are still well stocked and there are not many people driving up prices. All I need is a few medicinal potions, and you were recommended."

The guard roared in outrage as he scraped the scalding liquid off his face. Roughly grabbing Craze, he spun him around and slammed him into a wall. "Think that's funny? I'll show you funny clown!" He grabbed Craze by the top of the mask and started slamming his head into the wall, then threw him to the ground. Giving him a final kick, he spun out of the room and slammed the door shut, locking it. "We'll see how you like it when we have a sudden food shortage for a week or two."

Craze took his beating. If he wasn't planning, he would have killed the guard on the spot. He coughed, and rubbed his side. Well, he was strong. Now he just needed to wait for Klutz, his inside man. He walked over to the door, and yelled through the bars. "Oh little guard, you are such a KLUTZ! Aren't you now! HAHA!" he moved away from the door, and muttered, "There, that should get old klutzy over here."

Ace took his hand away, and cocked his head. "Recommended from whom? Was it that Iocus. Never liked im' yet somehow he can't get that through his thick skull....Never mind why do you potions, oh, and I'm pretty sure I beat you in the oddity factor just so you know."

Makaidos shook his head and changed the subject back to buisness. "I'm running low on my personal supply of potions, so I need to restock. What do you have?"

A guard came over shortly after the previous one had left. Opening the slot on the door, he whispered. "Ey boss, it's me, Klutz. I 'eard you call, so whatchu want?"

Craze sighed. There was no good help these days. He walked over, and flicked the man in the back of the head. "What do you think I want you for?!" He flicked him again, and looked towards the ceiling, sighing again. "Did you unlock the prison doors I asked for?"

Ace chuckled. "What don't I have? I have healing, invisiblility, flight, strength. I could keep going on you know." He walked towards his chair, checking some of his scrolls. "Just tell me exactly what you need." He glanced up. This man was being just a bit to secretive, he didn't want to get in trouble with the guards like last year. It was just a trade!

Makaidos grinned underneath his hood. This merchant certainly knew his stock.
"Just some smaller healing potions, nothing fancy, nothing expensive, and they have to fit inside my pack-" he motioned towards the satchel hanging on his side. "-and be able to withstand moderate to extreme abuse without breaking. Do you have anything of the sort?"

Ace looked around, walked over to a rack of potions, and the chinking and clanking began. He pulled out ten potions. "I believe these would be to your liking. In all...eight hundred."

Makaidos winced underneath the hood. "Eight hundred? That's a little expensive don't you think? Is the container enchanted or something? Because if it is, I would gladly pay for something far less expensive. And what quality is the healing provided? I'd rather not use something that can regrow lost limbs for a simple cut or use something made for small wounds on something life threatening. One would kill me, and the other would be an extreme waste."

"Well if you would come in at normal, it would be four hundred. This my me time. And you are interfearing." He flinched. That...that, thing was attempting to get out again. He regained his composure. "There is nothing special, just run of the mill alchemy. Course, it's still a little better than everyone else's."

Makaidos compared the price to what he actually had in his head and shook his head. "You double the price just because I came in early? Look, all I wanted to do was get some potions and leave before the fair begins. Being around many people for long really begins to bother me. I'll offer three hundred and leave immediently."

"Well, you are cutting into me time. You just don't do that." He said with a half laugh. "Three hundred nintey or, no deal. Or you can come in later. Or find some amateur alchemist in the fair somewhere desprate to kiss up to you." He crossed his arms. "You do know I'm the third best alchemist in Aragohm? The other people here actually try to sell colored water." He cocked his head a little. "390, or nothing."

Makaidos once again ran the figures through his head. That left him with roughly 200 gold left. If he was careful, he could make it last for a while. Too bad he didn't bother learning how to hunt, otherwise he could have taken care of himself in other areas.
"Fine, three ninety, and I'll leave as soon as we're done here."
Makaidos rummaged through his pack and pulled out a small sack of coins. Counting out the amount, he handed the money to Ace.

"Thank you." He pocketed the money, and put the potions in a leather pack. "Here you are. Come again, if you need anything, or just want to talk. Oh, and I have a show in about three hours, so if you wanna watch." He winked, and went back to his table.

Makaidos shook his head. "Thanks, but no thank. Large crowds bother me, so I'll probably just leave the city after I've finished my buisness here. No offence though."
Makaidos grabbed the leather pack and left the tent. That had seriously cut into his finances, but the potions were necessary. But unless he could get a contract with somebody soon, he'd have to teach himself to hunt, which wouldn't turn out too well. Of all the things Brom taught him, hunting was one of his worst skills. He could track very well, but for some reason he couldn't combine tracking and hunting.

"That should do it boss, now what do you want me ta do?
